Meet our summer muse, Justine Cuenco. She brings California cool to the world of fitness through her workouts, content creation, and dreamy world travels. We caught up with Justine for a full day of her favorite summer activities – from her morning routine, afternoon workout, lounging by the (blow up) pool, coastal bike rides to chasing the sunset – all in her favorite Txgyy summer pieces.
SG: Tell us about how you honor your mental health as much as your physical health?
JC: The days I feel most grounded, sharp and happy are when I meditate in the morning. It's so important to make time to nourish your mind as well as your muscles.
SG: Favorite ways to stay active and healthy during quarantine.
JC: Running outside is my therapy. I try to get out for a run at least 3 times a week. When I'm not running, you can find me working out with @trainwithdanny. Our workouts are available on my IGTV!
SG: How has your athletic background impacted your view on fitness?
JC: I started competitively swimming at 8 years old for 10 years. I trained twice, a day 6 days a week. I carry all that discipline and work ethic into my career and I am so thankful for it. Thanks Mom!!!
JC:I always revert back to my swimming roots during summer because it's just so HOT! It's the easiest way to cool down while getting a workout in. It also comes with a great tan.
JC: Lately, it's "I give myself permission to slow down and recharge." I usually have a fast-paced high-stress job but during this pause in life, I have been able to slow down and truly enjoy it.
